I love stumbling across contests and give-aways! Especially when the item being given away is something that I really really want (and in this case have been planning on making for myself anyway!) Amy, over at Priddy Creations is offering this adorable camera strap for an SLR camera! I've honestly been meaning to make one for my camera for weeks now... but we all know what a procrastinator I am :-P So this would be perfect! It's official.

Shop's closed till after the move! (and it looks WEIRD empty!)

And don't worry, I haven't forgotten about the Big Give - I will still draw a name by the end of the week and I will show off all the goodies that the winner will receive :-) But before I do that, I need to make sure I have most of the house packed up (minus my sewing stuff). In all honesty, I might end up drawing a winner BEFORE I have all the prizes completed.

Or... I'll just extend the Big Give to end after we move? Like August 1st? What do you think? That would take some stress off of me and it would ensure that the winner (I'm leaning towards a 2nd place winner too) would get a really rockin' package. Cause I'm really excited for this contest, and I'm worried that I'll end up jipping the winner if I try to get it all done BEFORE the move.

Adendum to Mandi's Big Give

Ok so here's the thing. {It's my party and I'll change the rules if I want to.} Actually I'm doing it for my own sanity because if I don't I will surely have an episode of exploding brain. And I don't want to clean that up along with cleaning the whole house after it's empty.

We're leaving for Fargo tomorrow to attend the funeral of Ryan's grandma. We'll probably come back on Sunday sometime. As you know, currently the contest is over Sunday night. AND we're packing frantically to move next Saturday. Ryan wanted to have all our upstairs packed by the time we leave tomorrow (not gonna happen).

Long story short, [I'm on overload]. I've been getting up at 6:30 Mon-Wed for class (and keeping up with an online class), All this week (starting Sunday) I've been taking Cody to VBS at 5:30, not getting home till almost 9 most nights, and I've had other miscellaneous commitments during the day that's kept me busy and away from home.

SO. I'm extending the entry period. Not exactly sure what day I'll close, but I'm thinking Tuesday or Wednesday might work. I think my sewing machine will be one of the last things packed up. So keep telling your friends, or posting, or commenting or whatever. The Big Give will go on!! I will keep you updated! I would just like to keep a shred of sanity this weekend AND I don't want to skimp on the give-away prizes ;-) so this is to your benefit!!

Oprah's got nothin' on me! Ok wait. Don't believe me. I'm not going to be giving away any cars or lots of money (or ANY money for that matter). But I am officially announcing my last give-away before we move (next week!!). And it won't be a simple Tshirt or onesie. Nope, this will be a multiple prize give-away! I am going to be combining this week's give-away with next week's due to the craziness of packing and moving, meaning your last chance to get entries will be at 11:59PM Central time on SUNDAY NIGHT July 20th. Shoes Galore!

Ok, I will admit (ashamedly) that my boys are sorely lacking in the shoe department. Yes I know, they're boys, so who cares? Well... when their cousin Caedmon and their buddy Ki always have such adorable matching and stylish shoes, I feel bad that my boys live in their crocs during the summer (and wear their one pair of tennis shoes the rest of the time - shoes that even I don't like!). However, had I the moolah (or a gift certificate?? *wink*) I would totally spend it over at See Kai Run (no relation to the Ki mentioned previously). I came across a blog that I'd seen before as she has done a review of one of Caitlin's shirts. Well as it turns out, See Kai Run is giving away a free pair of shoes! Her review was very helpful if I were in the market right now (only thing holding me back is $$ and the husband - party pooper).

I went to snuggle with my little guy tonight because I promised him I would after helping daddy with homework. It was already 10pm and it's been a busy day filled with packing, cleaning (though you wouldn't guess it by looking at my house) and an action packed VBS (well, we parents sat in on the super fun last hour or so of it). Needless to say, I didn't realize how tired I was!

So, after chatting it up with my nearly 4 year old, talking about Jesus getting hungry and Jesus' mommy making waffles and juice and recalling our eventful evening... we both fell fast asleep. I just woke up with a screaming sciatic nerve (my bed spoils me, I HATE sleeping in any other bed aside from my own) and my contacts glued to my retinas.

All that being said, I hopped online to do my routine once-over before turning off my computer and I pulled up this blog and remembered I promised to post the winner of the give-away tonight!

Early Evening Gown Giveaway!

SURPRISE in my mailbox!!!

About a month ago, Wonder Mommy was having a giveaway - a big giveaway - and I entered to win! Well, I was shocked to get an email from Wonder Mommy recently telling me that I had WON! Not only that, but I won the BIG prize! The pattern AND the yard of fabric! I was beyond thrilled!


Well, it's been crazy around here, and honestly, I had forgotten about it. Until I got the mail today. Inside was a package that felt soft yet heavy. I was racking my brain trying to remember if I'd bought anything recently, but I didn't remember doing that. So when I opened it up to see what was inside, I was THRILLED! I think I squealed out loud ;-)



The pattern is adorable. And the one yard of fabric is amazing! AAANNNNDDD... The extra YARD of fabric that Wonder Mommy threw in as an extra is gorgeous as well!!! What a fabulous package!! I love it all and can't WAIT to try out this pattern!!!

I'm kind of known for enjoying the simple pleasures in life. Heck just the other day I got SUPER excited when my hubby confirmed that our new place (we move at the end of this month) will have an ice maker! Yup, I'm easy to please.
